So I started with this open house thing, which was awesome for getting a feel for the company, definitely recommend it! After that, I sent in my resume and filled out their application. A few days later, Vendy from HR called me for an interview. It was pretty standard, she asked about my wins and losses and why I liked the company. Then I had to take some quick tests: typing, aptitude, and IQ. The very next day, I met with the exec I'd be assisting. It felt more like a chat than an interview, I almost forgot I was being interviewed! Jill was so chill and easy to talk to, made it not scary at all.

I had a phone interview. It was about 10 minutes late. The HR person didn't know what role I was applying for and asked if it was for the Assistant to the CEO. I had to correct her and say it was for the COO, as there are already two assistants to the CEO. She then said 'you're right.' I thought maybe it was a test. The rest of the interview seemed friendly and upbeat, and she praised my answers to the normal questions. Then she asked if the hours of 9AM-6PM were okay, which I said yes to. She then asked if the pay of $13.00 hr. would work. I was surprised because Executive Assistants to a COO make a lot more. I asked if the figure was correct, and she said it was. I let her know that I was making $40K in my last position and that Exec Assistants usually make $40K-$60K yearly, so the $27K a year offer was surprising. She said 'Well, I guess this job isn't for you then...good luck.' The salary was not negotiable. I'm wondering if the salary was a test. If the company plays games or is cheap with salaries, that's not good. I was bummed because I was excited, but then let down. The interviewer was pleasant until the abrupt end.

I applied online and they reached out the next day to set up an interview. I went in and met with HR. Then, I took an IQ test and an aptitude test. After they looked at my scores, I met the person I would be reporting to. We talked, and then they offered me the job.
