Account Manager
First I talked to HR to see if I was a good fit for the company, and then I interviewed with the two managers for the department. It felt pretty relaxed, and I liked everyone I met.
- How would you manage a situation where a customer's order had an issue?
Account Manager
The interviews with actual people were super chill. All the managers seemed nice, and everything was really casual. The weird part for me was all the tests they make you take. They're not the normal corporate personality tests; they're on paper and involve random things like pattern recognition and IQ-like stuff.
- Can you tell me about your previous customer service experience?
- What's your approach to deescalating tense situations with customers?
- How do you handle managing multiple projects simultaneously?
Account Manager
The interview process was really thorough. I first met with an HR Recruiter who was really nice and welcoming. I then did an IQ test, an aptitude test and a typing test. When that was done I met with my immediate manager and the person in charge of the entire area, during this time they asked me some questions and wrote down my answers. They were both also really kind, I felt like I was listened to and I felt at-ease. After that my immediate manager took me to the Account Manager area and I shadowed someone there and was I free to ask any questions I had about the position/work load and she showed me around the portal and how it worked. After this I was taken up to the COO's office to meet one-on-one with him where we talked further about the position, the pay, my schedule, then he offered me the job! This whole experience made me feel really comfortable with the company and my managers, I didn't feel judged at all and actually felt really excited to start. I'm saying it's "difficult" not because there are "hard" questions, but because it's a very thorough process and this made me think they have high qualifications.
- How do you unwind after a demanding day?
- What was your previous work experience?
- What makes you a good candidate for this role?
