First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Poshmark.
Software Engineer
Applied online. Got a recruiter call within a week, who talked about Poshmark’s culture, team, and product. Then, she mentioned a 1-hour technical interview with LeetCode-style questions, followed by a Super Day. I went into the technical interview. The question was an easy LeetCode-style problem about strings, which I solved quickly. We had extra time, so I discussed Android and company culture. The interviewer then asked why I used Python, mentioning that Kotlin was expected going forward, even though there was no rule against Python. I said I would have used Kotlin if informed earlier but prefer Python for Data Structures and Algorithms. I was rejected a couple of days later, which felt like a waste of time. The recruiter became unresponsive, sending only automated emails after the initial call.
- A simple LeetCode-style question involving strings or arrays.
Software Engineer
So, first, I had this recruiter call, you know, where we just chatted about my past work, what I'm good at, and what I'm looking for. They also gave me the lowdown on the company vibe and what this job actually is. Then, it was a technical interview, all about algorithms and data structures, kinda like those LeetCode puzzles, to see how I handle problems and code when the clock's ticking. Next up was another technical round, but this time it was more about system design, making things run smoothly, and actual coding stuff to see how I tackle big software problems based on my experience. The last part was meeting the team, just a chill chat to talk about working together, how we communicate, and if I'd fit in with their style and what they value.

Software Engineer
The interview had 5 rounds in total. 2 rounds were online and 3 were onsite in Chennai. The first round was technical with 2 DSA problems, followed by questions on databases, git commands, elastic search, and system design. The second technical round involved discussing my previous project and work with follow-up questions, plus 1 DSA problem on linked lists and 1 puzzle. Round 3 was also technical, focusing on system design of previous projects and problems I'd solved there. It also included a problem on database schema designing with follow-up questions, and 1 DSA problem. Round 4 was an HR interview, surprisingly held before the tech manager round due to some production issues. Round 5 was with the Tech Manager, with a brief discussion about my previous project followed by 2 DSA problems. I felt good about the interviews but didn't get an offer. I had to call them to find out the results and received no feedback even after calling and mailing.
- DSA questions solvable with data structures like Arrays, HashMap, Set, PriorityQueues, LinkedList, etc. were asked.
- Questions on databases were asked.
- Git commands questions were asked.
