Technical Coding Case Presentation

The process started with an assignment from HR, which included a prediction problem and coding an algorithm, followed by answering questions in a presentation. This assignment took about 2-3 days. Then, there was a 1-on-1 interview with the hiring manager focusing on machine learning knowledge, Python and SQL coding, and some case studies. After that, there were 4 back-to-back interviews with people from other teams, mainly assessing problem-solving and SQL skills. The final step was a short discussion with the CDO. The whole interview process lasted 2.5 months, and despite following up with HR, I was eventually told they couldn't proceed. A lot of time and effort was spent on this, and I wouldn't recommend it; it feels like a waste of candidate time.

Coding Case Technical

Applied online and about a month later got a SQL HackerEarth test. It was pretty easy, nothing too complex. A few weeks after the holidays, I talked to a recruiter who told me about the company and the job, then set up a technical phone interview. This interview had a case study and a live SQL coding session on coderpad. The SQL part was tougher than the HackerEarth one but still manageable and on the easier side. Interestingly, the data wasn't loaded into coderpad, so debugging wasn't possible, but the queries weren't complicated enough that you couldn't spot errors without running them. The case study was about designing a test for a new feature and explaining how I'd check the results. Since it was my first time with a case study and live coding, I didn't do great. I heard back in a few days that I didn't get the job.

Technical

I went through the first stage of the Poshmark interview process, and honestly, it wasn't what I expected from a company like this. The person interviewing me seemed to lack the proper qualifications for the job. They gave wrong answers to my questions and seemed to expect the same from me. Also, what HR said and the job description didn't really match the questions they asked. I was pretty disappointed with how it all went down.
