First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Porsche.
Sales
I was invited to Stuttgart. There I had an interview with two people from the department. They were nice to me. The questions were not bad to answer. It was questions about my resume and finally some questions about the company.
- Tell me about your resume.
- Why did you apply to Porsche?
- What is your knowledge of Porsche?
Sales
The interview had a good atmosphere, with questions about my resume and a detailed description of the role. They were really looking for someone with a passion for Porsche and the auto industry, and who understood the German market and sales figures. It's a good idea to read the company's website thoroughly and be up-to-date on current economic topics before the interview. Overall, it was a great conversation with lots of information about the job and a look into the day-to-day work environment.
- Can you estimate the sales of Porsche vehicles in the German market for the year 2014?
Sales
The interview was held online via Microsoft Teams. There were 2 employees present because I applied for 2 different positions. They introduced themselves first, then I had to introduce myself based on my resume. After that, they went into detail about specific points from my resume and what connects me and my field of study specifically to motorsport. Then, the individual positions were described in more detail, and I could already ask questions about the tasks. In the next section, questions were asked in English because external communication is often in English. Afterward, they provided specific details about the internship (salary, working hours, etc.), and I could ask questions again. With that, the conversation ended after about 40 minutes.
- What are your expectations for this internship?
- What does your degree program have to do with motorsport?
- If you had the choice, which racetrack would you travel to, and why?
