First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Porch Group.
Local Market Specialist
First, there was a group interview. After that, I interviewed with individual sales managers. Some of the interviewers seemed pretty inexperienced, and I left feeling a bit uneasy about the company.
- Are you willing to work extra hours and long weeks to ensure the company's success?
Local Market Specialist
It was a quick interview process since it's a startup aiming for growth. I had my first interview on Wednesday, the second on Thursday, and received an offer by Friday. The management team was involved and clearly communicated expectations. The interview felt pretty relaxed and not like an interrogation, focusing more on my goals and how I'd fit the company culture.
- What do you anticipate being the biggest challenge when working for a startup?
Local Market Specialist
It was a quick process, and the recruiting/HR team is really trying to hire people fast, so it can feel a bit hectic. I had a group interview with four other people, then a one-on-one chat before getting an offer. The vibe is pretty casual, and everyone in the big open office seemed happy to help me out since I was new.
