Started with an informational chat with an HR person offshore. I was upfront about my salary expectations. Then, a video call with the hiring manager, which was basically a series of behavioral questions. The hiring manager mentioned his team is swamped, even saying he had a rare half-hour break recently. Round two involved two potential teammates who also stressed how overwhelmed they were and that they needed help so they could get a breather. A meeting with the skip-level manager was scheduled, but HR canceled it last minute, saying it wasn't necessary. I figured I wouldn't get an offer, but a week later, HR unexpectedly called with a verbal offer. It was way below my salary expectations. When I brought up our initial conversation, the HR rep said he'd get back to me, but that was the last I heard from them. They ghosted me without any follow-up or negotiation. Dodged a bullet here.

I talked with HR, the team lead, and the sales leader about the job and my experience over the phone and in person. It was a fast process, and they gave me a realistic and detailed idea of the role and how the team works together.

I applied online and got a call the next day to set up a first phone interview. I talked to HR early the next week and a few days later I found out I wasn't moving forward. It was kind of a weird phone interview. The interviewer started by saying we'd talk about the role a bit, then she'd ask me questions, but she barely talked about the role or company beforehand.
