I had a really frustrating experience with Poppulo, lasting almost two months, interviewing for two different roles. I went through all the interview stages and even got asked for official documents, which usually means an offer is coming. But then, no offer was extended, and there was no clear explanation. Asking for documents so late in the game makes you expect things to be finalized. Backing out after that really shows a lack of planning and respect for candidates. I think they need to rethink how they handle final hiring decisions and communicate with candidates because it felt like my time and effort were completely disregarded. Professional courtesy wasn't there. If they're asking for paperwork, the decision should already be made. Candidates aren't just backups.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process had 3 stages: first a recruiter call, then a chat with the hiring manager, and finally a team interview with 2 team members. It felt organized and moved from general stuff to more specific role and team conversations. Everyone was nice, professional, and kept me in the loop. The last round gave a lot of info about how things work, the tools, and the products, but it was a lot to take in fast. All in all, it felt organized, respectful, and useful, with a good team vibe and a supportive interview setting.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process wasn't well thought out, very tactical. They seemed to be thinking short-term. On the third interview, they started with 'tell us about you,' implying they already had a preferred candidate. I didn't get a clear sense of what they liked or disliked, and they never asked about my career stage or how this role fit. This probably made me unprepared because I didn't see it as a balanced relationship.

Technical Coding

A recruiter at a job fair saw my background and experience and really wanted me to apply. I had two remote video calls, one with a manager and another with some senior engineers for a technical interview. Then, they gave me an assignment to finish in a week, which I did. I was invited on-site for more interviews, and they all went great. We talked about the assignment solution, and everything was fine. Even though the whole process had a lot of stages and interviews, I got a generic email saying I wasn't successful. What a waste of time!
