Customer Success Manager
This process has stretched on far longer than I ever expected, and it’s hard not to feel disappointed. After six interviews and two thoughtful follow-ups, the silence has been overwhelming. It’s been a month since I last heard anything, and at this point it feels less like a delay and more like being left without any closure.
- How do you manage your task prioritization?
Customer Success Manager
After applying, I was given a writing assignment. I got rejected pretty quickly after submitting my response. I get why an employer would want to see how a candidate communicates, but I kinda suspect they are using the interview process for free advice, especially looking at some of the other reviews.
- Following a kickoff call for an external implementation with a health plan, where you detailed the steps to go live across three workstreams with varying timelines and contacts, compose a follow-up email to the customer.
- An employer calls to inform you that they need Pomelo reporting for an upcoming leadership meeting. What questions would you ask during this call, and how would you proceed with the customer afterward?
- You're working with a health plan's marketing manager on an implementation task for launching Pomelo Care to their members. She's become unresponsive, putting the go-live date at risk. You've already emailed her directly and need to escalate to the project lead. Draft an email to the project manager.
Customer Success Manager
This was a very impersonal experience. There were no screening interviews, just cold emails with assignments that needed to be completed. It probably wastes a lot of people's time because a bot is likely reviewing these items. Just like a bot can't properly support women needing help with fertility and health care, a bot can't properly assess an individual's talents and capabilities. I agree with others who've said this, you should do better!
- What is your process for following up with a client after a kickoff call?
- What steps do you take to escalate a situation when a client stops responding?
- How would you handle a follow-up with a client who has called requesting reporting for a leadership meeting?
