Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview included a behavioral part where I was asked to introduce myself and explain my interest in Pomelo. Then there was a technical part where I had to explain how I'd analyze datasets using Python's Pandas package. Even though they said it would just be reading code, I actually had to write some simple Python code.

Scheduling this interview process was a real pain. Each step took ages to set up. The recruiter ghosted me when I had questions about an upcoming interview. On the day of my third chat, the recruiter emailed to reschedule because the interviewer was sick. She moved it a whole week, saying the team's schedules were too packed, even though I'd already given them my availability. When the rescheduled call finally happened, the interviewer revealed the role was filled and I was actually being considered for a different one, which I had no prior info about. Realizing nobody had prepped me, he offered to reschedule again. I emailed the recruiter to pull out, and, surprise, no reply. It's a shame because the company's mission is great, but they really need to fix their recruiting or they'll lose good people.

Behavioral Technical

I applied and within two weeks, I had a phone screening and then an interview with a VP. Both went really well, and the VP wanted to move me to the next step, which is meeting with someone from a cross-functional team. I sent a thank you email to the Sr. Recruiter, but didn't hear back. Two days later, I got an email saying they were moving forward with other candidates. I asked for feedback but didn't get any. I'm still really interested in the company and think they could improve their communication and feedback during the interview process.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The first step was a video chat with the hiring manager, which was pretty straightforward. They just wanted to confirm if the job aligned with my career goals. Next, I had a panel interview with two engineering team members. This round was more challenging because the questions indicated it was leaning more towards a developer position. They asked about my experience building custom integrations. The final stage before I was unfortunately rejected was a technical case study. The actual build itself was manageable, and I was informed that I'd present it to the team via video call, but that opportunity didn't come to pass.

Confirmed questions3 questions

  • What is your experience with setting up integrations?
  • Describe a situation where you integrated Salesforce data with a data warehouse.
