It was great, very nice and friendly. Kristi did my virtual interview, she was a sweetheart. Then there was a second interview and a written assessment, followed by another round of virtual interviews.

They have a thorough interview process. I love that they have people from different departments conducting interviews so that it’s not just based on one point of view but rather on different perspectives. Everyone was professional. However, I feel like they are biased. I was interviewing for an entry-level role that any high school graduate can get and excel at with the proper training, which they DO offer, yet they didn’t give me the position because I didn’t have any “phone sales” experience. Very odd considering I had PLENTY of customer service/retail/sales experience (10+ years) AND I have a bachelors degree. I mean they do offer training, so what’s the issue here?

The interview process started with a phone call, and the second stage was a three-hour Zoom call where I also had to complete a basic quiz on insurance terms. A major impression was that this seems like one of those tech companies that outwardly promotes how much people love working there, but the actual employees interviewed painted a very different picture. I left the interview process pretty convinced I wouldn't want to work at Policy Genius. Despite that, I felt it was a valuable experience that gave me a good sense of the company's workplace culture.
