It was a super lengthy process with about a week turnaround for the next step. 1. 30 min phone interview with recruiter. 2. 45 min phone interview with hiring manager. 3. A 3.5 hour day of interviews with different members of the team. While everyone was nice that I spoke to, I felt like I was being led on about my candidacy. I was blindsided by a rejection email saying I was open and exemplified great problem-solving skills, but lacked experience in fast-paced and “high ambiguity.” I don’t want to bash Pg in any way, but this made very little to no sense. I’m grateful that they gave me the opportunity to go through the whole process, but for 6 hours of interviews, countless hours prepping only to get a rejection and a half-assed reason - a bit of a waste of my time. Y’all need to sharpen up your process. And not lead candidates to believe they’re a great fit when really they’re not.

I kicked off with a few casual coffee chats with the hiring manager to build rapport, as I wasn't actively seeking a new role at the time. Once we both showed strong interest, I proceeded to a formal phone interview. Following that, I had two separate onsite interviews. The first onsite involved a case interview with the CEO, and the second required me to prepare and deliver a presentation about a significant initiative I led to six team members. Overall, it was a really great experience, even with the challenges. I've interviewed a lot in my career, and this is the first time I felt so well-evaluated and qualified for the position, while also getting a clear understanding of what to expect in terms of my colleagues, my responsibilities, and my potential contributions.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was way too long. I ended up meeting with pretty much the entire team, which seemed unnecessary since they all asked the same types of questions. The hiring manager called me out of the blue to let me know I didn't get the job, which was a shock. I wish I'd had some kind of heads-up.
