Project Manager
It was a long process with a lot of steps, but it made sure that this would or would not be a good fit. I met with many teams because the position would be working cross-functionally. The first interview was an online recording, then I met with the functional manager, then I met with various teams, and finally, I met with the manager again.
- How do you address communication issues with remote teams?
Project Leader
It starts with a technical round - Basic foundation questions on Java and Advanced Java concepts. Idea on any banking product or working knowledge on Retail or Investment banking would be an advantage. Once the technical round is done it was followed by a 1-to-1 with a Manager/Head of Product development and subsequently with HR.
- Can you explain the differences between the collection interfaces and classes in Java?
- What is your experience with Hibernate?
- Do you have knowledge of EJB?
Senior Project Manager
We did a technical review at a high level, then the PD reviewed. Both were super smooth and professional. The HR recruiter managed a really smooth transition call leading to the offer letter with minimal negotiation. The managerial review focused on how I handle project work, deliveries, quality processes, testing, and delivery. I was excited to talk about my future role, and the review matched that.
- Tell me about your background and experience.
- How do you manage project execution and deliverables?
- Can you explain your approach to quality assurance, testing, and deployment?
