Data Analyst
I applied for the Data Analyst role on LinkedIn and after a few days, they sent me an email to complete a job questionnaire. After that, I got an invitation for a one-way interview. I was asked 5 behavioral questions in that interview. I had unlimited time for the interview and could re-record my answers up to 4 times. Unfortunately, I didn't get past this stage and received a rejection the following day.
- Describe a situation where your organization underwent a change and how you adapted to it.
- How do you manage handling multiple responsibilities at once?
- Can you share an example of a goal you set for yourself and how you accomplished it?
Actuary
Two interviews happened in total. The first was a one-on-one and was pretty standard for behavioral questions, just getting to know you. The second interview was a panel with multiple people, and it had more specific behavioral questions along with a couple of technical ones. If you prepared, the questions were generally easy. The interviewers were nice and engaging, and it seemed like they had a list of questions ready.
- Can you share an experience where you handled a conflict?
Communications Specialist
This company's HR process is super rigid and feels impersonal. Everything is handled by a third-party service that's really bad at responding. I never even got to talk to anyone from the actual company. After applying, they just made me fill out a questionnaire, which seemed like it should have been part of the initial application. Then, I had to do a one-way video interview with five questions. You can re-record answers up to three times if you mess up. They said they'd follow up, but it's been over a month and I still haven't heard anything.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle a completely new task?
- Describe a situation where you managed multiple projects or clients simultaneously. How did you prioritize your tasks, and what was the outcome?
- Tell me about a communication breakdown you experienced. How did you resolve it and get things back on course?
Contract and Procurement Specialist
Applied in early September, got my rejection email on Christmas Day (nice surprise). Ghosted for almost 2 months, then asked to complete a one-way, pre-recorded interview. Ghosted another month, then met with a third-party HR rep who didn't know basic stuff like salary/benefits. Met two days later with a pleasant hiring manager who mostly seemed to be checking for culture fit. Hiring manager offered her email if I had any questions. Was told I'd hear back the next week (Thanksgiving week). Sent her a thank you email day-of with additional resources. Sent another email asking for updates two weeks later. No response. Got a copy-paste rejection letter on Christmas morning.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a project with a tight deadline?
- Describe a situation where you had to change direction mid-project.
- Do you feel comfortable with remote work arrangements?
