Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PODS.
Manager
Had a virtual chat with the hiring manager, then did some onsite interviews with the wider team and folks from other departments (ended up being 4 interviews total). The next day, the hiring manager called me virtually and extended an offer.
- What's your general approach to understanding stakeholders and their motivations, and how do you support them at a high level using influence and data?
Manager
Had a phone interview with a recruiter, then spoke with the Director, and then was flown out for a face-to-face interview. It was a good experience overall. I felt a connection with both the team and the leadership. I was told they wouldn't be moving forward with my application in a timely manner. It was disappointing not to get more feedback on what they were looking for that I didn't have, but I guess that's asking too much these days. The biggest letdown was not getting an offer, as I really felt I clicked with the team and they seemed like great people to work with.
- What's prompting your departure from your current job?
- Describe your approach to managing a team.
- What makes you the most suitable candidate for this position?
Manager
Way too many interviews for a manager role. There were 8 rounds, and the managers didn't even give feedback if you weren't chosen. It was a hassle I wouldn't go through again.
- What are the company's goals?
