Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PMG Digital Company.
Software Developer
I did an online application with a coding test, then submitted my resume. Got a phone interview invite really fast, like two hours after. Had to email some answers before the interview, which seemed to go okay. The phone interview went well, and I had an in-person interview a week later. Nice place, but only met the interviewers. They seemed to want someone who learns fast and can apply new skills, and they said that. The interview wasn't super technical, more about ability. A week later, they said they needed really specific tech skills I didn't have. Too bad. Liked the people though. Guess it has to be a good fit on both sides.
- Can you share an example of a project you're proud of?
Software Engineer
So the whole thing takes about a month. First, there's a digital interview with like 5 questions, mostly about you and your experience with things like AWS. Then there's an online assessment, pretty quick, 50 quantitative questions in 15 mins. After that, you'll chat with HR, then the hiring manager. The final part is an onsite or video call with the whole team, which can be up to 1.5 hours long. The questions were mostly based on my resume, not super technical.
- Could you start by telling us about yourself?
- Can you share your experience working with APIs?
- Do you have any prior experience with AWS?
Senior Software Engineer
The process was very welcoming and focused a lot on system design. It started with a screening round, followed by an online assessment, and then a live face-to-face system design round. The focus was in-depth on system design principles.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Pub-sub sectors or queuing systems?
