I went through a lengthy interview process with 9 calls and 6 interviews, but ultimately, I was ghosted. I really expected a more professional closing of the loop, especially since it seemed like I was a front-runner with their continued interest and follow-ups. The process did start to drag, but I figured it was due to vacations around the end of summer. However, my follow-up attempts were met with excuses about scheduling conflicts and decision-makers being out. A simple rejection email would have been better. It was kind of funny how everyone I spoke with mentioned the company motto, 'Own your 'bleep'', yet no one seemed to own the rejection process itself.

The interview experience was not great, mostly because the HR person seemed really bothered and even said he was taking the call in his car. He had agreed to a 7pm call but still wasn't ready. After every answer to 'tell me about a challenge,' he'd ask for another, and another, sounding like he wasn't paying attention. He even laughed once after I said why I wanted to work there. Just so you know, the starting salary is 50k with no negotiation. Then he said you could make more with overtime, which is crazy. You'd have to overwork yourself just to earn a decent living. This process alone showed me what their company culture is like. I wouldn't interview again.

This was probably one of the worst initial interviews I've ever had. They should seriously speak with their recruiter on how he phone screens people. I read a review right before my interview that was spot on..these were the first four questions the recruiter asked: "What are you good at?....Anything else you're good at?.....What else could you say you're good at?......Ok and how about anything else you're good at?". And then came the next and last four questions in which I wanted to just hang up the phone: "What are you bad at?.....What would people who know you say you're bad at?....What else are you bad at?...Can you think of anything else you're bad at?". Like what?! Who asks those questions? Not once did he ask me "tell me about your work history" or "how does your skill set apply to this job?" or "how do you stay organized?", you know normal questions recruiters ask. Truly unbearable and to top it off he cut me off multiple times and had such a rude tone the whole way through. I would listen to the reviews before interviewing there so you can at least think of 100 things you're good and bad at.

I applied on LinkedIn and heard back from recruiters after 3 weeks. First, I had a recruiter screening call, then I scheduled a call with the hiring manager. I had a Zoom call with the hiring manager 2 weeks later. I followed up with the recruiter a few days later. After a week, I had a two-day Zoom panel interview. I spoke with the recruiter the day after the last panelist, and then with HR the next day. References were requested the following day. About a week later, I got the offer. The whole process took a bit over a month. The recruiter was really responsive. Everyone, from the hiring manager to the panelists, asked relevant industry-specific questions.
