Account Executive
I put my application in through Indeed way back in early November 2017. A recruiter gave me a buzz within two weeks, and we set up a time for a phone chat. Right after our call, they invited me to come in for an on-site interview at the Pittsburgh office in Southside the very next week. When I got there, I met with the same recruiter again, hung out with an Account Executive for a bit to see what they do, and then talked with the branch manager. The whole on-site thing lasted about 2 hours. They made me a job offer on the spot.
- Can you share something about yourself that isn't on your resume?
- How do you stay motivated when work gets tough?
Account Executive
So I had to go into the office for the interview, but the interviewer wasn't even there, they did it over Skype. I felt like I talked more clearly than the interviewer did. They didn't seem to pay much attention to what I was saying. I think I didn't get the job because I'm not super energetic in interviews.
- What's your strategy for dealing with constant rejection from making cold calls all day?
Account Executive
The interview was pretty simple. I was first contacted by a recruiter, someone I had met before at an expo. Then, their HR department got in touch to set up an interview. The questions they asked were quite basic, covering topics like how comfortable I was with cold calling and asking me to describe a time I achieved a goal. Overall, it was an easy interview. I'd suggest checking out other employee reviews before you consider interviewing here. If you're looking for a standard sales role, you might find better opportunities elsewhere, as I discovered after inquiring about the base salary, commission structure, and limited chances for internal movement.
- What is your primary motivation?
- Tell me about a goal you set and how you accomplished it.
- How do you feel about making cold calls?
