Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Playtech.
Software Engineer
recruiter first, then team lead interview, then a questionnaire. then another interview with the team lead, a software engineer, and sometimes a product manager, where they ask about your experience, english skills, and general technical skills. then a final round for soft skills.
- Tell me about your experience with Java Core.
- Can you discuss your knowledge of Spring?
- What is your experience with databases?
Software Developer
Applied for the job on LinkedIn and got contacted by a recruiter. He set up an online interview with a junior and a senior developer. The senior dev was late and had a bad attitude, low mic volume, and a strong accent which was hard to understand. He was rude and impatient. After the interview, the recruiter and devs promised feedback but never heard back.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is your understanding of our company?
- We're going to ask you some basic Python questions.
Senior Software Engineer
A Senior Global Talent Acquisition Partner from London reached out and provided a straightforward overview of the position, the company culture at Playtech, how the work is done, and confirmed the pay, benefits, and a two-stage interview process with people I'd be working with.
- Can you tell me about your C++ embedded development background and your preferred tools and processes?
