Business Development Representative
It was a 3 step interview: Screening, Case Study, Colleague Screening. The process was quite involved, with a task that takes over 3 hours to complete, which was uncompensated. The manager was nice but strict, and had a clear idea of how the tasks should be done. I felt uncomfortable as I was told from the start that I did the task wrong. The case study involved working through an entire sales cycle with a client, and I had to create a video using their platform, but I didn't get access to the platform initially. They weren't open to creative approaches. It was pretty awkward overall.
- Could you outline a 4-step email sequence for a customer?
- How would you create a video to capture a customer's interest?
- Describe your approach to structuring a cold call.
Business Development Representative
Recruiting process was very quick for an internship. The questions are very relevant and adapted to the profiles sought. They listen throughout the process and are efficient from start to finish.
- What are your experiences? What are you looking for?
BDR
The hiring process was really disorganized. I was supposed to have a call with HR on the 12th, but she rescheduled for the 14th, then again for the 16th. On the 16th, we finally spoke, and she was nice. She then booked me with the BDR manager for the 18th. Of course, she emailed on the 18th saying he was busy, so we rescheduled for the 20th. On the 20th, the BDR manager started the call in French, which was weird since the role was for English natives. After 5 minutes, he asked my nationality, and when I said French, he said they only hire from English-speaking countries and was surprised I got to the second round. I asked to speak English to prove my fluency, and he said it was fine. I finished the interview out of principle. They rejected me 15 minutes later.
- What about sales draws you in?
- Could you list three values you'd contribute to PlayPlay?
