Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Play-Well TEKnologies.
Instructor
There were 2 interviews. The first one was over Google Hangouts with the regional manager. It was a pretty standard interview where I talked about myself and what I could offer. The manager asked some logistical questions to make sure I met the qualifications and gave me more info about the job. They also asked questions to challenge my creativity and let me express myself. I also got to ask questions about Play-Well. The second interview was more job-focused. The manager presented me with different scenarios and asked how I would handle them. They took notes and gave feedback, sharing how they would answer too. Both interviews were smooth and not stressful. The interviewers made it comfortable, which helped me relax and be more excited to answer.
- If you had to pick an animal to be, which one would it be and why?
- Could you explain the concept of an engineer to a young child?
- What topics or hobbies are you particularly passionate or 'geeky' about?

We started with a phone call for some screening questions. Then, there was a Google Hangout interview with the area and regional managers where they wanted to get to know me, discuss my experience, availability, career goals, and asked some fun questions.
- Can you tell me about your experience working with children?
Instructor
Interviewing at Play well is a very intimate affair. You talk to one person, usually in a casual setting like a home office or coffee shop. The conversation leans more toward experience with kids and personality rather than skill sets.
- If you were a superhero, what superpower would you choose and why?
