The interview process was pretty straightforward. It was a 1-1 interview where they asked about my experience working with kids, my experience teaching STEM subjects, and my education. The interviewer was the current director for the region I was applying to work in and was very nice. I'd definitely recommend this role for teachers and college students.

After applying online, you'll have an initial webcam interview where they'll tell you the pay ($14-$22/hr) and you can ask questions. If that goes well, you'll visit and observe a class and the instructor. They explain the job involves lots of travel to different locations for classes with 8+ kids, and you might get an assistant if the class is over 12-14 kids. You'll be told about the training sessions (paid less than the salary) and that you need to store 4-5 tubs of Legos at home (in a cool, dark place). They also show you how to teach the Lego build lessons, covering engineering terms and concepts. Classes are about 1.5 hours, and travel time is paid if it's over 1 hour. They're looking for younger candidates with engineering knowledge or experience, so consider that before applying. Make your online interview fun, energetic, and show your engineering knowledge, thinking about construction and building excitement in your answers. They have many candidates, so don't be surprised if you aren't hired.

There were 2 interviews. The first one was over Google Hangouts with the regional manager. It was a pretty standard interview where I talked about myself and what I could offer. The manager asked some logistical questions to make sure I met the qualifications and gave me more info about the job. They also asked questions to challenge my creativity and let me express myself. I also got to ask questions about Play-Well. The second interview was more job-focused. The manager presented me with different scenarios and asked how I would handle them. They took notes and gave feedback, sharing how they would answer too. Both interviews were smooth and not stressful. The interviewers made it comfortable, which helped me relax and be more excited to answer.

I sent in an application online and heard back the next day. We scheduled a Google Hangout chat for the following morning to talk about the job, and he asked me some questions. It went on for nearly an hour, mostly because I had a lot of questions for him, but it wasn’t too intense. It felt pretty relaxed for the most part.
