Frontend Developer
I had a great experience interviewing with the hiring manager. The process included a machine coding round on an online platform, where I built a React app (details omitted to avoid spoilers). As a first-timer for this format, I solved it with some struggle but couldn't complete all requirements in time, which cost me the round. That said, the feedback was incredibly positive and motivating. The interviewer highlighted what I did well, inspired me to keep improving, and geeked out on the details. This is how frontend interviews should be: build something real, then dive into refinements!
- Machine coding round involving building react component, involved stuff that we use all the time as frontend developers in day-to-day work.
Intern
they on campus conducts whole process at one day only, which includes technical assessment, 3 technical interviews then 1 hr interview. The interviews are based on OS, Git, Linux, problem solving, computer network.
- Do you have experience with Git?
- Tell me about your Linux knowledge.
- What do you know about operating systems?
UX-UI Designer
The interview was a good time and I learned a lot. They asked me technical and conceptual questions about my design process, how I solve problems, and if I knew tools like Adobe Creative Suite. I also had to show my portfolio and talk about why I made certain design choices. They gave me a design challenge to test my creativity and how fast I can think. It felt professional but also friendly, and we could talk easily about what they were looking for and how I fit. Overall, it was a good experience and made me more excited about design.
- Can you present your portfolio of design work?
Front End Lead
The recruitment team contacted me for this role. Sandhya Dulgaj sent me an assignment involving React CRUD operations and form validation. I completed and submitted it on time, even providing three versions: Native JS + React + Redux, ES6 + React + Redux, and Typescript + React + Redux. After that, there was no communication from their end. I followed up, and the response was always the same: 'They haven't provided feedback yet, we'll give it in a couple of days.' Those days never came, so I concluded it was a fake interview. Platform9 HR/TA team, please don't waste people's time. We know your time isn't important, but ours is precious.
- Assignment involving React CRUD operation and form validation.
