Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Plaster Group.
Senior Consultant
The interview process involved two rounds of interviews, both focusing on behavioral questions where I had to describe past experiences. After successfully completing these rounds, I was placed in a contingent offer status. This stage typically involves the company finding a suitable project and then staffing me with a client. However, for me, this is where the process became problematic. I remained in this stage for several months without being presented with many opportunities, and there was a lack of clear or frequent communication. While I found the consultants I interviewed with to be intelligent and potential good colleagues, the post-offer interview process felt disorganized.
- Can you describe your experience at X company?
Consultant
It's a small, growing firm looking for specific help for their clients. The interview process is thorough and very pleasant. The HR team and principals really dig into the details of your expertise and your ability to relate to others. The firm does a mix of staff augmentation and core business. It's hard to tell during the hiring process which type of work you'd be doing.
- Does the interview process seem designed to find people willing to work over 40 hours, which is unusual for a consulting firm?
Senior Consultant
We started with a few technical interviews. Then, I had a go/no-go interview with the CEO to check my emotional maturity, personality, and work ethic. After that, I had the final interview with the client. Once I finished the client interview, I met with the deployment manager to see if my personality would be a good fit for the client. Then I got the offer.
- What would you do if your employer asked you to do something that conflicted with your ethical standards?
