It was a thorough process. First, I had a 30-minute chat with an HR recruiter. Then, they tested my skills with Microsoft Office, proofing, and general office math. After that, I interviewed with the Office Manager and some of the people I'd be working with.

The entire hiring process stretched out for over a month, which honestly felt way too long. It started with a phone screen that went pretty well; the recruiter asked typical interview questions but kept things pretty relaxed. During that call, I was told the job was hybrid with flexible hours. About a week after that, I had my first real interview with the office manager. We mostly talked about my background, and it felt like a good conversation. However, in this interview, I learned it was actually not a hybrid role and had fixed hours, which was a bit of a surprise but not a deal-breaker. Another week later, I had a second interview with the same office manager. This time, she asked me the same standard interview questions as if we were meeting for the first time, which was quite unexpected. Then, two weeks after that, I interviewed with a different office manager. This interview was almost identical to the previous one. It felt like I had to initiate contact every time I wanted an update, which was strange. Looking back, the experience was okay, but I do feel like they didn't make the best use of my time in the end.

The interview process was super smooth and professional. It started with a quick 15-minute phone chat with the recruiter. Then, I had video interviews, each about 45 minutes long, with the Office Manager and the Sr Admin I'd be supporting, followed by the Executive I'd be working under. Even though I didn't get the job, it was a pretty painless experience. I got an email a few days after the last interview letting me know.
