It was a fast process, they seemed to need someone quickly. The recruiter was great and explained the stages clearly. There wasn't a technical assessment, just a personality/cognitive test like you see at non-tech companies. The interview with the director was a bit odd. I have experience in the exact tech stack they advertised, but during the interview, they asked about a different but related stack. It felt like they weren't sure what they actually needed, which suggests management might be disconnected. They really focused on my early career experience and made it sound like I quit and job-hopped a lot. The director had that old-school corporate vibe, matching some company reviews. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get an offer because I had already decided to keep searching and would have quit and job-hopped for the first time if I had been offered the role, haha. If the director had been different, I might have seen myself staying long-term. The hiring manager and recruiter were good and knew their stuff, big props to them!

Customer Support Specialist
I got contacted by a recruiter on Indeed, I replied and didn't hear back for about three weeks. When I finally heard back from the recruiter, she was really short with me. Even though the job sounded good and the pay was decent, I decided not to move forward because of how the recruiter acted.

Learning and Development Specialist
I applied for the role and put my minimum salary expectations in the application. The recruiter called me, and right away mentioned the role paid a bit less than my requirements. The offered salary was close to my minimum, so I said I didn't want to self-disqualify. The recruiter seemed short with me and dismissive during the call. Towards the end, they said they'd talk to the hiring manager about the salary difference and let me know in a few days if they could meet my requirements. I agreed, and we ended the call. Feeling uneasy, I checked the career portal immediately after and saw the status updated to 'prescreen completed; not selected.' It felt like the recruiter was dishonest and misleading me the whole time. I'm disappointed with the unprofessional and dishonest representation of the company and won't consider them for future opportunities.

My interview experience was absolutely amazing! Everyone I met was down to earth and very personable. The process was pretty streamlined and very quick. Kim was my recruiter and she reached out to me about opportunities at PlanSource, and we scheduled time to chat about roles within the company. After speaking she recommended me this role, given my past experience and what I was interested in. Then there is the CCAT assessment, but luckily I had taken the test earlier and had passed it. The next step was being scheduled to speak with the hiring manager of the team. Kim was super flexible with scheduling as I couldn't interview for all of next week, but she was still able to find a time for me and the hiring manager to interview. I had a 45 minute interview with the manager, and that conversation went very well. That interview was comfortable and done virtually, it was very conversational and based solely on my resume and technical processes for the role. I spoke to the manager on Monday and by Friday Kim reached back out and let me know that I was being offered the position. Overall, one of the best interview experiences I've had, and the whole process took only 2 weeks!
