My interview process went like this: first, a 30-minute screening call with the recruiter. Then, a 1-hour call with a current consultant where I had to read JavaScript functions and solve a brain teaser. After that, I had two 30-minute calls with directors of consulting. Next up was a 1-hour session that included a 15-minute technical presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q&A. Finally, I had a 30-minute call with the vp of consulting. I got good feedback on my technical and presentation skills, but they seemed more focused on whether I'd fit the company culture or just say what they wanted to hear about it. The current consultants were really upfront about their jobs, which was nice, but the directors acted like their jobs and company perks were a much bigger deal than they actually were, which was a turn-off. Honestly, it felt like a lot of time and effort for a generic rejection email and the salary they were offering.

Honestly, it felt like a lot of effort for a standard rejection and the offered salary range.

The interview process was pretty standard. HR from the university recruitment portal reached out. They got back to me in a few days asking for a Cover Letter and to answer some questions about my past work. After that, I had a conference call with someone from the East Coast office that lasted about an hour. We discussed my resume and there was a technical challenge at the end. Since I preferred to work in San Francisco, they invited me for an on-site interview there. The on-site was quite long, from 10 AM to 3:30 PM, and included three behavioral interviews, a 15-minute presentation on project management, two more interviews after lunch, and a product demo. The whole thing moved super quickly, taking about 1.5 weeks.

I started with an interview with the outgoing CSM director, and it went well. Then I had another hour-long conversation with one of their VPs. A week later, their HR person reached out to schedule a final interview with their new director of CSM. But an hour before that interview, their HR rep sent me an email canceling it, saying that after thinking about it, “we realized that we really need someone who has experience with the software as a customer.” This was not in the job description or mentioned before. The last-minute cancellation and the time wasted by their representatives was appalling and unprofessional. I hope others don’t fall victim to their unorganized interview process.
