Honestly, listen to the reviews on here. This process is a waste of time. I thought my experience would be different after seeing all the negative reviews, but I was wrong. I made it to the third round, put in hours of work, and then heard back a template rejection with no reasons or feedback. I did well in the interviews, crushed the case, and was confident I was going to get an offer. I followed up about feedback and was ghosted. Plaid is all show, they don't even have the decency to respond once they make their decision. The interviewers themselves were extremely nice and smart. The work doesn't seem very challenging, mostly just inbound sales/account management.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was pretty smooth and human, and didn't take up too much time, wrapping up in just a few weeks. You'll have a point person from the Talent team to help you out the whole way. They'll lay out the steps and what to expect time-wise upfront, which is way better than getting ghosted or waiting ages for a reply. I had three chats with folks from the Sales team, plus a written assignment. All the chats felt more like talking things through than a formal interview. You really get a sense of the company culture, the people there, and the job itself. Everyone I met at Plaid during this was super smart and open-minded, happy to share insights about working there and the open banking/fintech world. All in all, a really good hiring experience.

Behavioral Case Presentation

I first had a phone screen with a recruiter who was pretty informative. She told me the interview process has several stages: a behavioral interview with the manager, a virtual tour with the New Business team, a case study, and a sales pitch simulation. I got to the behavioral interview with the manager. The manager was late and seemed disengaged, not really interested in talking. I was so put off that I wouldn't have continued even if I hadn't been rejected.
