Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Plaid.
Account Executive
The interview process was okay, but I didn't make it past the phone screen, which was surprising given my decade of AE performance. It wasn't what I expected from such a well-known organization.
- Name one thing you know about Plaid.
Account Executive
It was four rounds total - first a recruiter chat, then the hiring manager, then someone from another team, and finally a mock pitch for the leaders. They asked situational questions about deals, forecasting, KPIs, etc. The process felt really well-thought-out. Overall, it was a great experience!
- Can you share an example of a highly complex deal you handled?
Account Executive
The interview process was okay, and everyone I met was really nice and personable. After a bunch of conversations with hiring managers, the final step involved a mock sales pitch, which was a bit confusing. The panel members weren't very talkative during this part. I was eventually told I wasn't a good fit and didn't get any more feedback, despite spending about 6 hours in total on the interviews.
