First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PKF O’Connor Davies.
Tax Manager
Talent Acquisition reached out to me about a month and a half ago. The actual interview process didn't kick off until a month and a half later because the hiring manager was on vacation for two weeks. The interview itself was a 25-minute Zoom call with the hiring manager and their subordinate. They did most of the talking during the call.
- Can you describe the biggest client you've managed?
- Could you introduce yourself?
Tax Associate
It started with an HR round, then went on to technical round 1, and then technical round 2. Round 1 was more difficult than Round 2. They will try to check your conceptual knowledge if you are a fresher and practical if you are experienced.
- Can you tell me about the basics of USA taxation?
- What are Schedule M1 and M3?
- What's the difference between temporary and permanent differences using M3?
Tax Intern
My interview experience at O'Connor Davies was one of the most pleasant recruiting experiences I have had to date. I started with a phone screening where I was asked to describe my professional experiences and why I wanted to join their tax department. Two days later, I had an on-site interview with two Managers. They asked basic fit questions, no technical ones, and then HR gave me an office tour. I got the offer in less than a week.
- Given your limited accounting experience, how do you plan to contribute value to the firm?
