First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pixi.
Community Coordinator
I got to the second stage, but the interview was super short, only 17 minutes, which was less time than it took me to travel there. The hiring manager seemed really bored and didn't seem to pay much attention to what I was saying, it was all quite strange. The HR person was really nice and handled everything maturely. I felt like a last-minute addition, and the hiring manager decided I wouldn't move forward as soon as they saw me.

Marketing
Worst interview experience ever. HR was great in the first round, then I was asked to come in person. Met with a C-level who kept saying 'good answer' or 'bad answer' and would interrupt me to ask about something else. It felt like an intimidation tactic to see how I handle pressure, but it really put me off the company and the role. I would never want to work for this person. Everything I said got a weird comment, either about my old job at another beauty company or about hating younger generations. My heart was pounding the whole time, I've never been so rattled. I got to the next round to meet the CEO, and I can only imagine how much worse that will be.
- What makes you want to join Pixi?
Social Media Coordinator
Don't apply. The HR person isn't clear about how long the hiring process takes, and they're condescending if you inquire about it. This is despite me having no issues asking this for other companies to plan my life. It feels like they just waste your time here. A friend who interned in social media told me they would never return because people quit frequently due to the toxic environment. They also mentioned that executives are slow with approvals and then blame the social team when things aren't done, rather than taking responsibility. I decided not to proceed to the next round for my own mental health, as it's not worth the stress.
- What could Pixi do better?
Operations Coordinator
I applied through LinkedIn and heard back within a week to schedule a video interview. This initial HR video call went well, and I was then invited for an in-person interview two days later. This second interview was with the head of the department, and we talked about my relevant industry experience. They asked some insightful questions about my background. The following week, HR contacted me to set up a meeting with the CEO. My conversation with the CEO was positive, and he posed some thought-provoking questions. On the same day, I was asked to provide my referrals. By the following week, I had received an offer.
