The process and vetting of me as an applicant made me further appreciate the staff they have hired. To be flown out for a full day of interviews from multiple departments was very reassuring, also to have them pay for yours and a friend's lunch was a nice touch.

Pixar has many great people. Some interviewers might not be super prepared. They have a wide range of needs and very specific skill requirements. Because they produce high-quality work, they can be picky. The interviews involved many people from different parts of the group. It was very thorough.

They emailed me my schedule as a PDF before I got there, and then gave me a printed copy when I arrived. I was set up in a big conference room with a DVD player, and I just kept my demo reel playing while a large panel of about 10 people asked me questions. After that group interview, I had several one-on-one chats in the same room. I took a lunch break around 1pm, then met with the recruiter before they sent me off to the airport to fly home.
