I interviewed for a sales rep role in northern california at Pitney Bowes. I applied online and heard back pretty quick, within two weeks, from a recruiter via email and a call. She was really great, super enthusiastic and knew her stuff, answered all my questions. Then I had an in-person interview at this office in San Jose that was kinda basic. I liked the manager guy but the office itself wasn't that clean and the vibe was just kinda low energy, which was a little underwhelming. Considering all that plus the amount of travel the job requires, I decided not to take the offer.

Behavioral Presentation Other

I withdrew from the interview process. I'm a professional with decades of experience, but the HR contact spoke down to me, trying to "coach" me for the hiring manager interview. The questions were easy and didn't stump me, but I find employer "projects" for non-project-based roles to be insulting and unnecessary. If the hiring process has this much condescension and busywork, I can only imagine how bad the culture and leadership must be. It definitely feels outdated.
