It was a friendly and relaxed interview. It was quite interactive, though tensed as usual for an interview. All the same, it was worth the time and we learn everyday.

It was very relaxed, and open interview with questions regarding my passion for the field and about my personality. Questions about my flexibility and ability to work under pressure as the only RN per shift with a nurse to patient ratio of approx 1:6 however this is ambulatory detox - the patients are not critically ill or bedridden. They are in a voluntary setting and WANT to get treatment. They want help so the environment is positive.

Got a call a few weeks after applying for a quick phone interview with staffing. It was basic stuff like asking why I wanted to work there and about my experience. On that same call, they set me up for an in-person interview with the unit's nurse manager. I met with her a few days later. She asked similar questions and some more, like if I'd be comfy retraining a patient, to give an example of a bad work environment I'd dealt with and how I handled it, and why they should hire me. It was pretty straightforward. She offered me the job right then.
