I applied twice for the same gig. The first time around, I thought the chat went really well, but I didn't get called back. About six months later, I applied again and got an email from the same person who interviewed me the first time, wanting to set up a chat. I booked it, but when the day came, they never called. I shot them an email asking if they wanted to reschedule, but haven't heard back.

I submitted my resume and then got contacted by the recruiter. After that, I had a phone screen, followed by an in-person interview at their downtown office. Finally, I got the offer. It was a pretty standard and straightforward process.

PHMG in Chicago has an amazing office with city views. I contacted a recruiter about the SDR role. The recruiter was great, very personal and professional. First, there was a phone interview where she asked some basic personality questions. Then, I was invited for a Round 1 interview at the office. I interviewed with a sales exec from London. I thought it would be fast-paced for a sales job, but the exec cut me off mid-sentence several times. It felt like they were looking for a very specific personality type. I was then invited to a Round 2 interview that same afternoon because I was visiting from out of town and they wanted to save me another trip. I really appreciated them fitting two interviews into one day. The second round is where my interest waned. I first shadowed a current SDR to see the process firsthand. The SDR was nice but unprofessional. The sales floor seemed to be mostly men, with very few women. I didn't like the vibe. After shadowing, I met another sales exec who was quite rude. I'd seen him yelling at someone before the meeting. He quickly went over the commission structure and didn't ask me any questions. He said they liked my experience but I needed to 'go have a think' about whether the role was right. He also mentioned the job was less about building customer relationships and more about getting them to say yes and moving them along quickly. After that meeting, I knew the company wasn't for me. Curious about their turnover rate.
