First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pharmavite LLC.
Human Resources Manager
I was first reached out by a recruiting agency that was working for the company. Then, I had meetings with three HR people and also some upper management from corporate, manufacturing, and distribution.
- What's one thing about you that most people don't know?
HR Manager
The phone interview went well. The recruiter indicated they would forward my application, but the hiring manager is out of office until next week, so I wouldn't hear back until then. I followed up, but got no response. Eventually, I received a rejection email three weeks later. It was a disappointing experience because of the poor communication and lack of follow-up. Companies should really treat candidates like customers, as they might become customers later. It's fine not to get the job, but when companies set expectations and don't meet them, it damages their reputation.
- Tell me about your experience with change management.
- Can you discuss your involvement with leadership development programs?
Human Resources Business Partner
This was a really long interview process. It started with a recruiter phone screen, then I waited two weeks with no word. After that, I had a phone screen with the hiring manager, and again, waited another two weeks. I had to keep chasing the recruiter for updates and feedback, even letting her know I might have another offer to see if I was still in the running. She assured me I was. The final stage stretched over two days and involved talking to six different people, including the hiring manager again, who seemed to be actively discouraging me from taking the job. In the end, I was told I didn't get the role, but would have if their first choice had turned it down. When I asked for feedback on why, the recruiter seemed irritated and just said the other candidate was simply better. Her assistant, who also felt the need to email me, really needs to work on her people skills; you don't send a rejection after a 2.5-month process and sign off with 'have a beautiful rest of your week.' Looking at who got the job, I can see why. Even though a Master's wasn't a requirement, they hired someone with a Master's and who is 20 years younger than me. Age discrimination is definitely a thing at this company. Their whole interview process needs a major overhaul – it's drawn out, exhausting, and frankly insulting by the end. I'll never apply here again. Check out the other reviews; there are two others for this same job that mirror my experience, and the company's responses just defend their poor conduct.
- Tell me about a time you had to handle a difficult and upset manager.
