I applied online and had a Teams interview with HR in London. After chasing HR twice, a Teams interview was scheduled with the Department Head and Hiring Manager. It was uncomfortable because the Hiring Manager kept interrupting me. The Department Head had to tell them off twice. The Department Head then asked me to prepare a presentation within a week and said HR would contact me in a couple of days to arrange an onsite interview. After the Teams interview, the Hiring Manager emailed some extra questions which I answered quickly. I was told I'd hear back soon and might have one more Teams interview before the onsite. It's been 6 weeks and I haven't heard anything back.

Had two rounds with HR, but the scientific interviewer was on vacation, so I had to wait over a month for the actual interview. Then, there was a 40-minute interview, and I was rejected within 2-3 days because they found candidates with more industrial experience.

So after submitting my CV and cover letter, I had a phone chat that covered some HR stuff and some technical things. Then, I went in person for another round, which included an HR chat, a technical interview, a casual lunch with some of the team, and a walk-through of the place I'd be working.
