I applied and heard back in two days for a quick chat after filling out a short behavioral survey. Then I had a phone interview. After that, I had to get 5 people (past managers, coworkers) to complete a work skills survey about me. They were pretty flexible on the 24-hour deadline. The next step was a 3-hour in-person interview at their office. I met with 4 people from different roles, which gave me a good sense of the company and how everyone collaborates. An hour of that was spent shadowing a recruiter to see the day-to-day tasks. Everyone I spoke with asked different questions and explained their jobs, so I could ask more about their specific roles. Even though it was a long process, they really made sure it was a good fit for me too, which was nice. I got an offer the day after the in-person interview, and the whole thing from applying to the offer took about a week and a half.
- Can you share an instance where you had to persuade someone?

So after the initial phone screening, they want you to come in for an in-person interview and things move pretty fast. Before the actual interview though, they need you to give them at least 5 references. Then, they send out a 30-question survey to those references and want it back before your in-person interview. I got less than 2 days to get this done. After that, they send you a list of people you'll meet with and tell you the interview is like 4-5 hours long. The whole process was super unorganized; most of the time is spent just waiting in a conference room. They make promises they can't keep and expect you to tell them about any other job offers you have. But don't expect them to be open with you. It's a waste of everyone's time.
- Can you share an instance where you had to convince someone to take a certain action?

I should have known after reading 6 negative interview reviews about the recruiting process in 2019 alone. A PharmaLogics recruiter reached out to schedule an initial call for the position, when the time came around I did not get a call. After 10 minutes, I emailed her and she said she had to reschedule because something came up. After rescheduling another call, again when the time came I still did not receive a call. A complete waste of time and very unprofessional. I am not the first candidate to point out that scheduled interviews have been stood up multiple times.

I submitted my resume via LinkedIn. The next step was a call where we talked about my resume and I shared examples of my resilience and work ethic. They then scheduled an in-person interview. Before that, I was asked to provide two references within 24 hours. I couldn't secure letters from my previous employers that quickly, which made me feel they weren't being accommodating, so I withdrew from the process.
