Quantitative Research Intern
I had three interviews back to back. The first two went great and the interviewers seemed engaged and asked good questions. The third interviewer was late by 10 minutes and barely spoke to me, just a couple of casual resume questions. Then for the last 10+ minutes, they asked if I had any questions but spent the whole time texting on their phone. It felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Got rejected about 10 days later, not surprising. Seems like a really toxic culture.
- What's your approach to researching data for alpha generation?
Internal Wholesaler
So the whole process took about four months, which was pretty long. I had four rounds of interviews in total. I got to talk to a bunch of department heads and managers, which was great. It was a good way to show them I could talk to people, knew my stuff about the industry, and could roll with the punches. Also, it helped me get a feel for what it's like working there and what they expect.
- Can you tell me why you are looking to leave your current job?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
