Assistant Store Manager
Applying online was easy and then I got a call to schedule an interview. I had 2 interviews with the Assistant Store Manager and the Store Manager. They sent me an offer within 3 days of applying. The interviews included typical questions like 'tell me about a time you solved a problem for a customer in a unique way', but also casual questions about pets and pet care. The interviewers were nice and I could easily ask about how they do things to learn about the job and company. I accepted an offer for a different role since they already had an Assistant Manager, but I was promoted to Assistant Store Manager after 3 months.

Store Manager
I applied online and then got a phone call a couple weeks later to set up an interview. I felt the interview went really well because I was overqualified for the position and I was really excited because I wanted the job. They told me I'd get a call for a second interview, but after a week of no contact, I called the first interviewer. They said the second interviewer was busy and would get back to me the next week. Still no call the following week, so I called again and they said they didn't know why I hadn't been contacted since I was a top choice for the job. The interviewer mentioned they'd call or email to find out what was happening. I didn't want to call a third time, but I really wanted this job. Two more weeks passed before I called again, and still nothing. I really think that if a company doesn't want to hire someone or they don't meet the criteria, they should at least let them know. I was very disappointed with how I was treated. The last time I spoke with the interviewer, they mentioned they had interviewed a few other people and none of them had heard anything back either. They were very upset that the company wasn't contacting the people who were recommended. In this day and age, when it's hard to find good employees, you'd think Petsmart would value qualified job applicants.

Store Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward with three interviews in total. I first had two interviews with store managers, and then the final one was with a third manager and the district manager. Each interview lasted about an hour, and we mostly discussed the fundamentals of managing in a retail setting. I received the job offer a couple of weeks later. The company was willing to invest in talent, but they had high expectations for performance within a short timeframe.
