First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Petrobras.
Industrial Automation Technician
The interview will assess your functional knowledge of control instruments in industrial processes, as well as final control and industrial safety elements. You'll need to know basic electricity. Also, functional knowledge of essential equipment in process plants, like power generation systems, electric motors, stationary motors, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. It's important to know about using PPE in process areas. You should also know concepts like 'classified area', 'IS' equipment, and explosion-proof. Knowledge of electro-pneumatic communication and control protocols (universal signal standards) is key. Finally, understanding standard piping measurements for control lines and pressure class sizing for the processes is needed.
- What is your experience in industrial maintenance?
Account Analyst
The process was super organized and clear. After applying on Petrobras' site, I got an email inviting me to do online tests for logical reasoning, English, and accounting knowledge. Then, I was called for a video interview with an HR analyst and two managers from the accounting area. During the interview, they asked technical and behavioral questions, always in a respectful and friendly way. They also talked a bit about the daily tasks of the role and the development opportunities within the company. I heard back about the result in about three weeks.
- Which accounting statements do you think are most important for assessing a company's financial health?
Administrative Technician
A technical evaluation stage based on administrative knowledge, organization skills, corporate systems, and legislation. Additionally, virtual interviews to assess behavioral competencies like teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability to the corporate environment. A group dynamic or case study related to the oil sector might also be conducted to analyze practical skills and decision-making.
- Can you share your key previous experiences in administrative roles and how they apply to the challenges within an energy sector company?
Marketing Analyst
The process is quite bureaucratic and long, but I think it's necessary to ensure a careful selection aligned with the company's expectations. It involves several steps, starting with an initial interview, then an interview with HR, another with the sector's leadership, and finally, a battery of tests assessing both technical and behavioral skills. Although tiring, the process allows for a detailed analysis of candidates, ensuring only the most qualified move forward. It's important to be prepared and patient for all these phases.
- Could you describe the problems you've solved and the biggest challenges you've overcome in your career?
- What are some key milestones in your career?
