Applied for the store manager job at Pet Supplies Plus. Filled out a long online application. Got a call from corporate asking me to take another long assessment. Had a 45-minute phone interview with a corporate recruiter. District manager called 5 days later to schedule an interview, mentioning the store was in rough shape and needed a manager ASAP. It's been over two and a half months, and the job is still posted online. I called to check status and was told they're still interviewing, with over 40 applicants. Seems like it takes months to fill a needed position because they have too many choices.

Started with a 20 min phone interview. Then I had a face to face interview w/store manager, yay. Attended that, about 45 minutes, many of the same ?'s done over phone. Wanted any ?'s I had. Not in any hurry to hire for position; said there were 5 or 6 others they are considering and job was still posted so if any others they like come forward they will be in running too. They will let me know either way if I am getting a 2nd interview. I may also have to have a 3rd interview with District Manager but they are not sure. That's 4 interviews for an under 40K job which may take up to 5 or 6 weeks to know if you have it even though resume meets All requirements.

HR found my resume online and reached out to me and strongly encouraged me to apply. They scheduled a phone interview. Next, we discussed compensation. I was over-qualified, but needed a job. The company strung me along for 3 weeks before ghosting me. The next week, the same position was still advertised. They have zero respect for displaced workers.
