Sales Lead
Applied for part time sales associate, got hired as Sales Lead. Applied to the store, next day got emailed a personality quiz. Did that, then the day after got a call for an interview. Went in, had the interview with the sales lead and assistant manager. The assistant manager asked questions from a packet, like tell me about yourself, previous work experience, why work here. A couple questions were different: say the 4 key principles they look for and how I would sell their frisbee. The assistant manager said she would get the general manager to meet me. Once the GM met me, looked at my app and notes, asked if I was interested in management. Said yes, she told me I'd need to come back for a wonderlic test (easy competency test) and have a second interview with the district manager. Came back, had the interview with the DM. Same questions but more focused towards management. Wonderlic test was easy. Once done, got emailed to do a drug test, then background check. Once cleared, had a phone interview with a corporate manager, about 15 mins, just manager type questions. The next day got a call from the store telling me I had the job. Took about 2 weeks total from interview to new employment paperwork.
- How would you go about selling this frisbee to me?
- What qualities do you seek in a team member?
- Can you describe your approach to managing a team?
Sales Lead
I began with a chat with the general manager, and then heard from the regional management by the end of the week. The interview with the regional manager was the same as before but with more 'what if' scenarios. They finished the interview positively, saying they'd be in touch. A few days later, I got instructions for a drug test.
- What leadership style do you tend to use most?
- What do you think is a good way to motivate a sales team you manage?
Sales
Just had an amazing interview at Pet Supermarket! The team was welcoming, the environment friendly, and the questions were engaging. Excited about the opportunity to join and contribute to such a great company!
- Can you tell me about your scheduling availability?
- What are your expectations regarding work?
