Software Engineer
So I had this really weird interview with Personify's recruiter on Zoom. We started with introductions and then she asked me about my background. About 10 minutes in, the call just dropped. I tried to get back on, but nobody was there, and they didn't call me back. A few days later, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward with me.
- Have you worked with AWS Lambda before?

So, there were two technical rounds. The first one was with the actual tech team, and then the next one was with some execs. After that, HR had to have a chat. Back in the day, if you were local, it was all in person, but if you were from out of town, it was over video. The very last step was in-person.
- Tell me about Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Can you explain your experience with SQL?
- What are some Architectural Patterns you have used?
Software Engineer
The interview started with a phone call with an HR person from their main office. After that, I had a call the next day with some technical questions. Then, I had to do an online psych and IQ test which I could do after work. The scores were sent to the Austin HR team and I passed those. Next, I had a technical phone interview with the Technical Manager at their main office, which got rescheduled 3 times. It lasted 1 hour and the manager asked questions from all over the software stack (front, middle, and database backend), saying that it was okay if I didn't know the answers. I followed up by email two weeks later but never heard back.
- Could you explain the distinction between readonly and const data types?
