First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Persistent Systems.
Linux Systems Administrator
It was a really frustrating process. I had two technical rounds and an HR round. I was selected and shared my documents with HR. However, after submitting the documents, HR stopped responding to my calls. After 8 days, they suddenly offered a contract role, which was unexpected as they initially mentioned it would be a permanent payroll position with Persistent. This last-minute change is unacceptable. The HR department was totally unprofessional, making for a very bad interview process. I'm surprised a company like Persistent would exhibit such unprofessionalism. You can interview with them, but don't trust them until you have the official offer in hand.
- Can you explain how to troubleshoot SSH issues on a Linux server?
Systems Administrator
The consultancy arranged a first round over the phone after getting all the information from me which was not mentioned in the resume. The consultancy could arrange this within 2 days and also conveyed the result within a day's time. There were 2 people who interviewed me and regarding the feature difference question I could not answer that, rather the interviewer also did not know. I strongly believe that is something what can be googled whenever needed and no need to remember such things.
- Can you explain the feature differences between Windows 2003 and Windows 2008?
- What is AD FS, and in which situations would you utilize it?
- What are the operating system maximums for Windows Server 2008?
Systems Administrator
Overall, it was a good experience. The HR team was reachable and positive. This company is great for freshers and for anyone with less experience who wants to learn in a user-friendly environment. It's a dream job for such candidates and they should definitely try for it.
