It was a 2 round technical interview process. Technical round 1 and Technical round 2. I cleared the first technical round. In the second technical round, they asked me situational based questions, questions about my internship and projects, and questions about operating systems, some of which I couldn't answer.

The interview process started with an L1 round focusing on coding and tech questions. This was followed by an L2 round where they asked questions on Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Docker, and Kubernetes. Then there was an HR round for salary discussion. Finally, a client round involved discussing previous jobs and project experience.

So I had 2 rounds of technical interviews for this Java Programmer role, and it took literally 2 MONTHS to get through them, all because the L2 panel was busy. After I passed both, HR told me there was no budget. For context, I was asking for X amount, but Persistent Systems offered X - 5 LPA. Other companies were offering between X - 1 to X + 3 LPA. It was a total waste of my time and energy, honestly. Never again with Persistent Systems. Seriously the worst interview experience.
