The interview process included thought-provoking questions. They seemed to really care about the candidates they were hiring. I actually chose this job offer over another opportunity primarily because of the quality of their questions. The people I met were also very kind.

My interview went pretty well because the managers present at the time were good people. Since then, things have gotten way more strict and the process now takes weeks. They're looking for candidates with a minimum of 2-3 years of prior server experience, especially with fine dining background being a plus.

So I interviewed at Perry's Restaurant, in one of their private rooms. The person interviewing me first asked about my background and experience. Then, we went through a bunch of questions related to hosting and serving food. They had a manual they were following and were taking notes as we went. To wrap things up, they asked me how I'd handle a few specific situations.

The interview was pretty straightforward and mostly focused on prior work experience, although they don't really require any. This is often a first job, so they're looking for people who are hardworking and reliable. They also wanted to know about availability, and working weekends is essential.
