Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Perry Ellis International.
Sales Associate
The people were very friendly and sweet, and super professional. They let me show my personality, so nothing to worry about. I think people get stressed about interviews because they don't have experience, but this was a good spot for a first interview.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Sales Associate
It was pretty fast, around 20 minutes. We talked through all the questions, making it more of a conversation rather than a standard interview, which was nice! I was told I'd hear about a second interview within 3 days. A tip: if you get the job, sign up for the drug test right away when you get the email.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- What is your understanding of our company?
- When faced with a choice, do you prioritize assisting your boss or your customer?
Sales Associate
After you pass the online survey, a manager will give you a call for an interview. Dress professionally and show that you're eager to work. Perry Ellis really likes outgoing people, so even if that's not your usual style, try to act that way for the 30 minutes you're there.
- Can you describe a time you had to work with someone you didn't get along with, and how you managed that situation?
