I applied on their website and heard back from a recruiter. After I spoke with her, I went through two rounds of interviews, spaced about a week apart. The recruiter told me the good news, and then their HR department sent over the official job offer. I had to complete some paperwork, a drug test, and a background check. They do have new hires start every other Monday.

Had a good first chat with the hiring manager in NY. Then, a second interview was set up with the CPO in Miami, but she didn't show. A junior recruiter stepped in, apologized for the CPO, and asked the same old screening questions like salary, if I'm okay with working onsite, and about my experience. The interview ended, and I never heard back. It was a really bad experience as a candidate, I definitely wouldn't consider working at PEI.

The interview process involved meeting with multiple people in a single visit. It began with an informal chat with HR to discuss your background and experience, much like a casual conversation over coffee. Following that, you'd have individual meetings with 2-3 designers. These were mostly relaxed discussions about your portfolio. If they were interested, they'd talk about the role and their expectations, and then assign you a project. The project would be tailored to showcase aspects of your skills not fully covered in your portfolio, considering the role involves technical drawings, fabric selection, and creating presentation boards.

I applied online and then heard back from the HR coordinator about two weeks later. We scheduled a phone chat for two days after that. She asked me about my previous work and my salary expectations. She then explained the role and who I'd report to. The following week, I met with the creative director for about an hour. She gave me a project to work on. After that, I met with the design director and CEO to present my project. Later, I met with the SVP, and on another day, I met with the CFO. The whole process took about a month and involved six interviews.
