Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Perkins Coie.
Associate Attorney
Interviews were held at my law school as part of on campus interviews (OCI). There was an initial 30 minute interview, and then selected students were invited back for a second, longer 1 hour interview. It was a pretty typical OCI process.
- Could you tell me about a strength you possess?
- What would you say is your biggest weakness?
- Which specific area of law sparks your interest?
Associate Attorney
It was a friendly and informative interview process. The partners were casual and asked good questions, nothing too hard. They wanted to learn about my experience and get to know me. Overall, it was a great interview that didn't get into pay, benefits, or billable hours.
- What is your preferred method for receiving assignments?
Attorney
I spoke with a few lawyers, sometimes several at once. It started with phone calls with attorneys from different offices. Then, I had in-person meetings with various attorneys at the office I was applying to. It was a pretty typical interview process for a big law firm.
- What makes you choose our firm over competitors?
- What are your reasons for being interested in this firm?
